Easily the most hated DBZ film out there. I can understand the hate Broly fans have for this since the premise of it is basically "What if Broly was a Swamp Monster?" and sadly the action still does not reach the levels of the 1st Broly film. The action is just ok but at least this Broly is a bit more brutal against Goten and Trunks than he was in the 2nd film. This also practically was the final nail on the coffin for the little personality Broly had. Oh and of course this film manages to carry on the "Broly's defeat was dumb" tradition. What makes this movie suffer the most is simply the fact that it has 'Broly' in the title. I actually believe it would get a hell of a lot more praise if it had nothing to do with Broly. In my opinion instead of saying it was a Broly clone they should have said it was a clone made with the DNA of all known Saiyans but I guess that's too similar to Cell's origins.


I'll be honest I actually enjoyed this a bit more than the "Broly - Second Coming" film. It had a much lighter tone, which made it a lot easier to accept Goten and Trunks along with their childish humor. This film is a little unique due to the fact that the 4 most popular characters (Goku, Gohan, Vegeta & Piccolo) make no appearance in the action at all. All of the attention goes to Goten, Trunks, Android 18 and Krillin, which I actually think is quite nice since let's be honest side characters are of no importance in the series. I wouldn't call it a good film but it is not as horrible as the fans have made it out to be.
