It was a courtroom thriller instead of a horror flick. Overall still a very good movie. Could have been less draggy with unwanted plots. 7/10

Apparently based on a real case, this is mostly about the prosecution of a shaman for the murder of a local politician. This gives an interesting view of the presence of black magic in Malaysian society. The movie was done in 2006 and only released in 2018. However it looks as good as any recent movie. It would have been really impressive if released at its filming date. The main actors (the lawyer and the shaman) are really good. The plot, which mostly focuses on the trial but also includes the lawyer's search for his missing daughter, is well written with interesting twists. Only one thnig that looks bad though: the shaman's exorcist like scenes look cheap and ridiculous.

8/10 The Best Malaysian Film in Recent Years - All casts deliver good performance - Umie Aida as Diana Dahlan just marked as one of her best performance - Faizal Hussein acting never dissapoints - Cinematography just topped every local movie that come out in recent years despite being kept in the fridge for over a decade - Editing and pacing suprisingly well for a local movie - Not suffer from "in out of place music score" - Succeed in achieving the mood of a neo noir movie - Well delivered twists
