This movie sucks hard. The foe is a waste, Godzilla is a waste, my time was wasted.

There really isn't anything of value to this movie besides the accidental humor of certain over-dubbed screams and awkward acting.

As far as the plot goes, it's about a group of scientists creating nuclear weapons on an island. This island happens to be where Godzilla is sleeping as well. Why? We don't know. He shows up asleep in the last third. Ebirah guards this island to keep outsiders away, which is what happened to our "main" character's brother. It all ties very loosely in and just relies on coincidence.

There is also a stupid scene where Godzilla and Ebirah plus volleyball with a boulder. This was clearly the weirdest part of the movie as the DVD menu shows this scene with a sports style edit going on.

The sets, oh man the sets. So 60s, as in they are colourful for no reason. The miniatures are also tiny in terms of the overall scale, probably the tiniest yet in the series. The budget was obviously spent on the interiors, which is not really what we come here to see now.

A horrid movie, I suspect even the hard-core Godzilla fans pass on this one when they can.
