This is a story about greed, arrogance, and corruption...and how it all went wrong.

This documentary both cleared up what happened when Enron folded, but also raises a few more questions. You can't help but feel a little sympathy with the common worker, but at the same time feel deeply infuriated with the traders that shut down power to make more money.

Well made documentary and a highly recommended watch...

The smartest guys in the room made the world a whole lot smarter. This Documentary played a big part in starting the documentary making/watching boom that continues today. And it's easy to see why. The film works as an effective expose of the practices of financial institutions and their backers. Moreover, it unmasks a world that my parents largely trusted, but quickly learned wasn't interested in protecting them. In particular, seeing the effect that the top execs and workers rhetoric (of making fun of the dupes whose money they stole) had on my parents was telling. In the end, this is a great story told well.

I watched this after watching about Bernie Madoff. As a documentary, it is such an interesting bit of history, linking Enron, the California debt and subsequent election of Arnold ruler, and the links to the Bush family.

And how little things really changed between 2001 and the GFC and Bernie Madoff.

Scary.

What a rotten country to the core. That's all I can say.
