An interesting reflection on violence set in the fifties in an oppressive environment, where control is exercised by the students themselves. Erik develops in a double environment of abuse, between his home and the boarding school, at the same time using violence as the only way to face reality. Addressing the abuse of power and psychological terror, the film offers explicit scenes of bullying that show the permanence of a system based on violence, an autobiographical reflection of the novel's author, Jan Guillou. With a somewhat less convincing ending, the film maintains a constant distressing atmosphere.

Amateurishly made, this film does contain *something* on the effects of bullying. Sadly, this is more feeling than emotion, in the physical sense. Knock, knock.
