This movie explains so well what it's like to be autistic. I adore it for being 'about' it without ever beating anyone over the head with the diagnosis or sensory overload, just SHOWING everything in such a graceful way.

People might not like Oscar, think he's obnoxious, but it's so difficult to navigate a universe, never mind the world, that really has no instruction manual.

Everyone's frustration and everyone's pain is extremely well portrayed on so many levels that I can never get tired of seeing new details every time I rewatch.

Wow, what an incredible movie. You have to truly understand the boys condition to appreciate his role and character in the movie. It was really quite touching.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close captivated me with its poignant storytelling, earning a solid 4.5 stars. The film's heartfelt narrative and emotional depth leave a lasting impact, prompting deep contemplation. The exploration of loss is masterfully portrayed, making it relatable and stirring. I found myself immersed in the protagonist's journey, and the film's ability to evoke such powerful emotions is a testament to its storytelling prowess.

The story is very good, just as the editing and music. I love Sandra and Grandpa's acting, although I didn't like the boy's acting much.

A generally good drama but with a rather unsutisfying conclusion with the mystery key!!

I'm stupid. Very stupid. I cannot understand the deep meaning of this movie. I manage to watch it over 1h to understand my deep stupidity ...and my stupidity still prefers watching sweet-bitter comedies and CGI based adventures than this "artistic" bullshit waste of time. I prefer my stupidity and I expect from websites like trakt.tv to protect my "stupid time" wasted on movies like this.

Aggressively offensive in so many ways. I entertained fantasies of jamming ice picks in my ears.

A movie with Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock, and they aren’t the main character(s)? Not sure why this movie felt the need to ever put that amount of pressure on Thomas Horn and his character, Oskar. Regardless, Thomas totally nailed it and told a wonderful story of an autistic boy going on an adventure after the fallout of 9/11. This has been a movie I’ve heard about and just never got around to seeing, and I’m very happy I finally did. When this came out in 2012 I probably would not have been mature enough to appreciate it, but this was a quality watch and one I would recommend to check out.

Rating: 3.5/5 - 8/10 - Would Recommend

While I understand that everyone grieves in their own way, but goodness this kid was so annoying, I had a hard time feeling bad for him. Hanks and Bullock are endearing and did well, but the rest just got on my nerves.
