As well as the expected critique of Trump, this movie offers an extensive criticism of the elites, the Democratic party establishment and the media's complicity in letting our democracy wither.
Trump voters might not think they'll like this movie, but if you voted for him not because of his anti-immigration views, but for his purported "drain the swamp" ideas, this movie might still be for you.

@fawlty70 Doubt Michael Moore would criticize Democrats or the establishment. as he is a huge advocate. anything bad said is to push a biased narrated and have people believe its a unbiased documentary that is based on facts. which this film is non of.

@pointy Better of getting facts from a dog taking a shit. this film is full of false nonsense. believing otherwise is foolish. Michael Moore being the direct should say everything needed to know.

Michael Moore is good at asking questions. Most of the times even the right ones, but this "documentary" is not good filmmaking. Moore jumps around a lot and skips from topic to topic with no clear attempts to tie it all together Even worse, he inserts himself into it all in a rather obvious attempt be more important to the story than he really is.

Fahrenheit 11/9 asks a lot of good questions and might have been a good movie if it didn't come off as a far left propaganda piece most of the time. More unbiased facts and fewer opinions had been much better. To me, Fahrenheit 11/9 is not much better than a hit piece from the idiots on the far right, and that says it all really...

And remember...I'm rating the movie...not the message I think it was meant to convey.

@tmurd87 First... When the movie is made by and directed by Michael Moore, it's "his" questions. I don't care if they were originally written by mole people on the moon, when someone uses them in their movies, it's also their questions.

Second... Did you read everything I wrote? I didn't like the movie at all, and I sure as hell don't like Michael Moore. As I said above, this movie has far-left propaganda written all over it. Bias is the bane of every documentary...something both the right and the left struggles to understand.

Now... In a perfect world, people would stop living in echo chambers where they only seek information channels they like and agree with, and seek information on both sides of an issue to get the whole picture. But since that is harder than just going with something you agree with, most people don't bother.

Anyway... I'm done.

@notoriousx first and foremost never said you like Michael Moore however to trust Michael Moore would feed you anything other than misinformation, false or fake information is foolish. It's like trusting a 2 year old to run around with a knife. Michael Moore proved time and time again that he'll push information in a biased narrative in order to get people to believe nonsense. let's look at the fact he pushed the narrative real hard that Trump colluded with Russia. when the facts speak and that simply was miss information. sadly it was Clintons and democrats who colluded with Russia. Clintons lawyer and others who recently were charged for the crime proves this. Not to mention the foia releasing all the evidence on Proving Trump nor anyone in his campaign colluded with Russia. Democrats went trough hell to prove Trump did, including illegally spying on everyone in his campaign. The only thing they ever did was charge Flynn with lying to the FBI when in fact Flynn never even knew he was lying to the FBI. talk about petty. However Michael Moore took this story and ran with it saying Flynn was colluding with Russia when it couldn't be further from the truth. we can also look at the fact that Democrats pushed the story that they were hacked by Russia. Also incorrect as they were never hacked. The data taken from them was done from someone who worked with there campaign. the data was transferred via usb thumb drive. Which was proven as the data transfer rate was impossible to reach at the time over the internet then a few days later Seth Rich was found dead after releasing the information to WikiLeaks in which he spoke out about it. they said he was killed while being robbed. yet nothing was ever missing from his body "Money, Wallet etc". however that's not the story everyone believes cause it goes against the narrative they want everyone to believe.

It achieves its job in showing America is completely broken - with some good sequences explaining why by demonstrating that the Democratic party is too weak and corrupt to stand a chance - but it's kind of all over the place with the narrative, the editing and the connective thread bringing it all together. Still, it's an effective documentary, from an angry (and with every right to be) point of view.

The film does a good job in picking apart how America got to where it is today. More evidence that, on both sides, alsolute power corrupts absolutely. Power in leaders, power in media, power in lies. The question of how America gets out of it ... well, I don’t think they do. What America has is a perfect storm of greed and apathy. Those that have power are incentivized by greed to do anything to keep that power at the detriment of the people who are deemed not their equals. People who think they are equals or have a moral certitude that those in power are listening, seeing, caring .. even there is profound evidence to the contrary and finally those that have no power that are so beaten down that they don’t have the wherewithal to do anything. America hasn’t hit bottom yet. It has a long way to go yet before change is coming. Thankfully it is far from being a world leader so hopefully can’t take the rest of the world with it.

solid 4/5 Michael Moore documentary not as good as the original 9/11 or Bowling for Columbine but it's good.
