Wacky and fun, Family Weekend is an entertaining comedy with a bit of a dark edge. In a desperate attempt to save her family a 16-year-old high school girl kidnaps her parents in order to get them to realize how dysfunctional and out-of-touch they’ve become. Olesya Rulin gives an excellent performance and brings a lot charisma to the film, and Kristin Chenoweth and Matthew Modine also give strong supporting performances. And while it’s not a straight dark comedy, the humor has a quirky tone that works very well. Delivering some good laughs, Family Weekend is an enjoyable screwball comedy.

The movie is very steril/clean. I don't know how to explain it but something was wrong while watching this. Anyway. You get few laughs when watching this movie, no big surprises. And you already know how the end is going to be, when you watch the first 15 minutes. What I am writing. After the first 5 minutes. ^^ If you got nothing else to do on an evening, and playin' some games with your smart phone when watching its, its okay to do so. But after watching 1 time, I already deleted this movie from my library.

**Time for parents to learn some lessons!**

Family comedies are few of the good ones left. Most of comedy movies in this decade are cheap and crappy. This movie is bold and don't ever compromise its likelihood. Of course, if the "incident" was real, it would be exploited by media parasites and the end would be very different. This More
