In 1917, outside the parish of Fátima, Portugal, a 10-year-old girl and her two younger cousins witness multiple visitations of the Virgin Mary, who tells them that only prayer and suffering will bring an end to World War I. Being a Catholic, I increased my faith in the church and our Mother Mary, Lady of the Rosary. Also a good clarity and understanding of the apparition in Portugal. The movie, cinematography and acting was good. 9/10

"Inspired by historical events and the memories of Sister Lucia". Pontecorvo gives the apparitions a certain category of historical fact. From the beginning, the intentions are clear. Film for believers shot with a remarkable cinematography, with an almost horror genre tonality. The story leaves some narrative holes and only introduces doubts (dialogue between Harvey Keitel and Sonia Braga) to emphasize the faith.

Depending on your faith levels, your mileage will vary, but 'Fatima' is a handsomely filmed and respectful retelling of a true story, one that sees people still flocking to the site each year, over 100 years later, to try and see what those children saw.

Many mainstream viewers dismiss Christian films, or any film they don't agree with, without seeing the work- or they More
