I really can't fathom the concept of the movie without a plot.
It's comical to watch the psychedelic travel with drug binge but it's really tiring to watch when there's no proper plot with no connection between scenes.
Only one thing made me to watch till the end, del Toro and Depp's acting.

There is a saying in England "losing the plot" and comments on Trakt want to find one in a film about vast quantities of narcotics :) its ironic

You could easily accuse Gilliam’s films of drowning in their own eccentricity, and no film exemplifies that quite like this one. It’s a stoner/hangout movie through and through; there’s no real plot and it mostly consists of a bunch of overstimulated scenes strung together. However, I’d argue that beneath the flash there’s real substance to be found here. It’s quite interesting how the two best stoner comedies of all time (this and _The Big Lebowski_) find themselves at odds ideologically. This movie is a pretty detailed critique of hippie culture, while _The Big Lebowski_ is an endorsement of its core values. Regardless of which side of the coin one might fall, there’s enjoyment to be found in both films. This one is brilliantly made, every artistic choice it makes I find to be very exciting. It has some of the best cinematography and editing of the 90s, a killer soundtrack that makes perfect sense for the story and so much memorable, hilarious dialogue. I’d also argue this is still Depp’s best performance to this day.

9/10

Psychedelics are probably the only way you can watch this movie.
I watched it on shrooms and I highly recommend it. It's a roller coaster from the beginning to the end, a master piece that will only be understood when on psychedelics.

The cult film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a dark comedy from writer/director Terry Gilliam that’s overly bizarre and incoherent. Two hippies, a journalist and a lawyer, go to Vas Vegas where they get stoned, tear up hotels, and roust the locals. Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro lead the cast and give some really interesting performances. However, the story goes nowhere and doesn’t have any point to it; which wouldn’t be that bad if it was a fun journey, but it’s not. While there are some entertaining elements and a creative visual style, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas ends up being a bad trip.
