Operation Fortune is a decent film. There are moments of Guy Ritchie greatness but the story failed to draw me in. It just lacked the intelligence and creativity found in Ritchie's other work.

Fast paced and entertaining movies, James Bond with Flavor. And I really enjoyed Jason Statham in his role, but Hugh Grant was brilliant, loved his character. Fun and easy movie to watch, totally enjoyable

I went into this hoping it wasn't another by-the-numbers Jason Stratham action flick, but it mostly was. Stratham wants to be the next Bruce Willis but really is more of the sad Liam Neeson doing whatever action flick comes his way because he has no chops for anything else.

Hugh Grant was pretty good in this, as was Aubrey Plaza, and overall it's a decent action film but nothing earth shattering. If you have seen any of Strathams 400 other nearly identical action flicks then you've seen this one with a few exceptions.

This is not Guy Ritchie's best movie.

It's not Guy Ritchie's best movie starring Jason Statham.

It's not even Guy Ritchie's best movie featuring a sleazy, cockney-accented Hugh Grant who loves an outdoor barbecue grill.

But it is Guy Ritchie's only movie with Aubrey Plaza.

(Also, Josh Hartnett is freaking hilarious.)

A highly enjoyable no-bullshit action movie. Fast paced, great action, funny one liners without turning to slapstick. I’d love to see Guy Ritchie doing a Bond movie!

A solid, entertaining, no bullshit, enjoyable action flick. Hugh Grant's performance makes the difference. Although the story is super basic and it does have a lot of flaws, it still is quite a fun ride.

Seen it today in a sneak-preview in my favorite cinema. The perfect mix of action and fun. And really fantastic actors. Has been a pleasure to see it.

After the deadly serious "Wrath of Man", Guy Ritchie returns to his humorous roots with "Operation Fortune". I certainly appreciate that. However, Ritchie falls short of matching his previous successes. As always, he has assembled a solid cast, but it is far too large. At least fans of Aubrey Plaza will get their money's worth.

The story is entertaining, but also unnecessarily convoluted. There are numerous scenery changes, a few nice action sequences, and some amusing dialogues. At the same time, you never get the impression that the team of spies at the heart of the story is in any danger.
They're just too cool and laid-back for that.

In the "Mission Impossible" films, Ethan Hunt seems to have things go wrong all the time, which creates thrilling and jaw-dropping moments. Jason Statham's Orson Fortune can only laugh about that. He manages to do everything right away without the slightest flinch. You can certainly do it that way, but then again, it's a bit boring.

"Operation Fortune" is enjoyable enough to keep you entertained for two hours. But, in the end, not much will stick.

James Bond-style film. Jason Statham and Hugh Grant stand out, not one of Guy Ritchie's best.
