Watchable one. But if I could go back in time and tell myself not to watch, I would.

Alot better than expected.

Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis made a great pair and delivered a satisfying romantic movie. You may find it predictable and cliched but still, the great execution makes it a treat.

Pretty cute movie! Definetely entering my rom-com faovorites list.

C'mon guys, give Timberlake more credit!! They did have chemistry and the movie was actually amusing!

Breaking news: You're not going to see anything here that hasn't been done better elsewhere (Sleeping With Other People immediately comes to mind). That said, there is a fair amount to like here. As with most Rom-Coms, if you pay attention you can see the details of the final scene coming as they dropped hints throughout the movie. The two leads have fantastic chemistry, although if I am being honest Timberlake really struggled in scenes where he was just supposed to deliver regular (not comedic) dialog. There is a fake movie that is referenced multiple times in the real movie - I think I may have enjoyed that one more.

First time rewatching since seeing it 10+ years ago and I don't remember it being this bad.

Had a bit of a connected film run these last 3 nights. From 'No Strings Attached' -> 'Black Swan' -> this one. Tonight's viewing was definitely the weakest of the lot. Compared to No strings which coincidentally came out in in the same year it just had no heart. I didn't feel their connection here. Just JT's character being a massive douche and them crowbarring in some 'depth' coz he had a complicated family situation.
Also there were some really problematic lines in this film. Like saying he wasn't going to rape the woman in the park (wtf kind of writing is that!) and the gay colleague constantly asking if Dylan was gay and all his interactions being about banging dudes. That and plenty of other shitty cheap comments. Just lazy writing all around. It liked to think it was being smart with the meta rom com stuff but it was just shit.

Do yourself a favour. Watch no strings attached and pass on this one.

Funny movie without a story

Netflix is either trying wayyy too hard to be woke (like Bridgerton or The Irregulars) or it is completely reversing the women's rights movement (like this movie lol)
