Fright Night 2: New Blood

I was thinking... how bad it could be? Right. There should be a rule that you can't make a sequel/use the name of an original unless you promise that the movie will not decrease in quality by more than 35%. I'd like to see the rule say you can only make a sequel/remake if you improve on the original but that's asking far too much out of the folks who are currently running the studios. Geez. It's a sequel but the original actors are no where to be found yet they used the original characters' names. Alrighty then. Replacing one character? Weird but not a problem. Replacing an entire cast? I don't think so. Most movies would solve the problem of a new cast by creating new characters but not these guys! As for the writing? Well, the characters are entirely unlikable from beginning. The characters are chronically stupid and horribly immature and you want them to die rather than survive. Gooo team! I dumped out about fifteen minutes into the movie because the dumb made my brain hurt. Why, why WHY is it so hard to find a good Halloween movie I haven't seen?
