The best Star Trek movie of all time; that's how you do it JJ Abrams.

Never give up. Never surrender.

Galaxy Quest is one of the best parodies made in the last 2 decades...if not THE best.

Many laugh-out-loud moments and a cast that knows what they are doing, makes Galaxy Quest really watchable even for people that usually don't enjoy sci-fi. The late Alan Rickman and Tim Allen especially.

And oh yeah...Sigourney Weaver's breasts make a good figure too (pun intended).

By Grabthar's Hammer, what a movie! One of the best films of the last 30 years and still holds up today. The parody element is spot on without being overindulgent and every joke hits perfectly. If you've not seen this film already, then remedy that immediately!

A movie that works on all levels. The story, acting and special effects are all top notch. This is as close to a perfect film as you can make. A classic for any fan of film.

I know! You construct a weapon. Look around, can you Form some sort of rudimentary lathe?

You have to be a trekkie to get the humor of this movie. And for those who get the humor, this movie is hilarious. It plays on all the Star Trek stereotypes. It's fun, well written, and the characters are great.

Insufferable. There are few things I hate more than a film that goes for satire and meta-commentary while being so low brow that I can feel it wriggling uncomfortably beneath the tread of my shoes. Absurdity I can appreciate; this is just insipid. There's no interesting parallel with Star Trek; it's just one long train of shallow sight gags and unsatisfying attempts at Shatner send-ups aimed at the easiest to please lowest common denominator ST fan, who presumably bark like a chorus of seals in recognition of their being pandered to.

In space no one can hear you laugh.

I don't really like slapstick and even less when it's as predictable as space dust in a vacuum.

One of my absolute favorite movies. Being a Star Trek fan, it lets me laugh at/with Star Trek without belittling it at all. Every actor is spot-on. The whole movie just gets everything right.

An occasionally funny space adventure that parodies Star Trek, Trekkies, and the convention culture. With such a great cast, I was actually expecting more. Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver needed more to do and even though I'm okay with Tim Allen, his Shatner-like ego wore out its welcome.

What an enjoyable movie! As someone who casually enjoys Star Trek, this had plenty of subtle nods and references, several of which are downright hilarious. Original plots like these makes me wish that all the big movies these days weren't just franchise films and sequels. It's oddly refreshing to watch _Galaxy Quest_ in today's cinematic climate.

The premise behind the movie is actually really fun and interesting. However, as the movie unfolds the movie starts to become less fun and interesting. I don't know what would have saved it - maybe it needed to be more campy or less campy. It's a shame that this cast couldn't have been brought together in a better movie.
