This Photoreal CG blew my mind. I'm going through the films nominated for 90th Oscars Animated short, when a minute into this film I'm sure I've skipped on to a Live Action Short. I check my list, and, no, this is an animated short, so, now I know I have to do some research. YouTube has a video on the making of GARDEN PARTY, so I watch it and I am fascinated how all these images were created. Absolutely mind boggling. Beautiful colours, textures, quirky characters, whimsical vignettes and a diabolical underlying storyline. Well done! I give this film a 9 (superb) out of 10. These graduating students have promising careers ahead of them. [Aminated Short Film]

I first saw this cute short film at Siggraph 2017 in Los Angeles. I enjoyed the film but found the ending to be a bit jarring and unnecessary. That said I would still recommend watching this film as the art direction and graphics fidelity are top notch.
