Well made and entertaining. And I suppose it’s exactly what it says on the tin. I expected there to be slightly more scenes with the roommate before she moved, something really establishing their friendship. I mean, I did buy that they were close but when I read the blurb I thought I was going to get a movie about female friendship and that was a part of it, but mostly it was a mumblecore movie about a stagnant adult. I also didn’t love the jump cuts(idk the actual name I’m not a film major lol) editing. Made it seem a bit detached. Anyway, it’s good, but not what I expected. And all the chaotic-aimless 20/30 something films and shows being made by female directors today were clearly influenced, if not minimally informed by the writing/directing in this movie and others like it.
