90% of the relevant parts are seen in the trailer. Every superhero scene for sure. We spend more than half the movie in the asylum. We spend a bunch of time listening to the doctor lady try to convince the characters that they're nothing special. Since we the audience know the truth it feels like a waste of time.

I hated the way the characters stories were tie up. There were a few tiny bright spots throughout the film. The postscript part of the film was the brightest part in an mostly dull movie. It's also the only part that's not given away in the trailer.

@anthoney65 Did you go to the theatre??

I didn't like the endings either. I liked Split much better than this one. Haven't seen Unbreakable. For some reason I thought you'd have enjoyed this more than I did but instead, as I should have guessed, you're much quicker to disseminate the flaws. It takes me longer to figure out the flaws on things and even then I second guess.

@dewdropvelvet
Unbreakable was very good. It's my favorite movie of the director right after Sixth Sense. I've really grown to dislike movies or shows where all the main characters die. It's become the goto movie to add emotion and gravity. If they want me to emote they better earn. This did not.

@anthoney65 This is why I didn't watch any trailers of movies and series that's important for me. I don't understand why don't learn from the lesson the people.

"If they want me to emote they better earn. "

@anthoney65 Earning's easy. It's regaining it once it's been lost or shaken or misplaced that's tricky.

and maintenance is like wrestling an octopus daily. with the identity of the octopus changing. And the octopus gets repeated bouts of sickness; amnesia and nostalgia.

@anthoney65 Literally half of your criticism isn't on the movie itself, but the marketing for it.
