I was smiling through the whole thing. One of my favourite parts was "Indeed we needn't. Need we?" This is my first pre-code movie and I loved it. And Trixie was the best. And oh my god the violin scene was mesmerising.

My favorite of the 1933 Berkley trilogy. It has the most coherent plot, the biggest laughs, and the closer of "Forgotten Man" comes out of nowhere and wallops you. The other numbers are a little hit or miss--"Pettin in the Park" is especially bizarre but the "Shadow Waltz" is beautiful.

You're right about "Forgotten man". That was a sudden dose of reality.
