One of the most feel good musicals ever! I absolutely adore Hairspray! The songs, the dancing, the outfits, the characters, it's just flawless!

I almost skipped this movie in my Michelle Pfeiffer retrospective marathon because of the bad taste in my mouth from a recent LIVE TV production of this musical by a major broadcaster. But. at the last minute, I changed my mind, and I'm really glad I did. This was a lot of fun and the choreography and stylising of the music was spot on. Well done. I give this film a 7 (good) out of 10. [Musical, Comedy, Romance and Social Commentary]

_Hairspray_ is a friend you never knew you had. I've always known it's been around but never taken the time to hang with it until last night and we really hit it off.

While it's not quite a musical for those who don't like musicals, the songs weren't annoying, the cast was amazing and the message was on point. The best part, though, was that they used sarcasm and irony to make their point, rather than preaching at us. The bottom line is I had more fun with this film than I ever would've imagined before we spent some time together.

This film was a great comedy, musical and romance because it actually got you of your backside and start dancing as if you were back in the 60s. Every last member of the cast seemed that they enjoyed making the film and that proves that they are dedicated actors. Best of all Nikki Blonsky, who would of thought that she would be able dance like that but then her voice was like WOW! Also Amanda Bynes who played Penny, it was very entertaining to see how the relationship between her and Elijah Kelley, Seaweed grew stronger. It's all about LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Overall the film was of an excellent quality and all of the actors proved that they were dedicated and loved their work. Job well done!
