This film has some things going for it that I believe ultimately make it a not bad follow up to the first two films in the franchise. The return of Donald pleasance as Dr Loomis was a fan-pleasing move and the performance from Danielle Harris as Jamie is commendable for such a young actress. The score is again used well and the direction is not half bad. The film falters in ambition, as it is really another re-tread of the first film. It also gets a bit silly towards the end with the gang of locals going after Michael Myers, and I will never get tired of seeing Michael sat in drivers seat of a car, something about this is really comical. The ending is also rushed and very sequel-baiting.

Not a bad film overall, certainly not as bad as what was still to come. 6/10

It maybe just me... but take in consideration I saw this one right after the 3rd but I liked it. This was a solid 7 but I had to give it an extra point for the ending

Not so bad. Especially the plot twist at the end deserves the +1 in the final ratings. ;>

Decent enough film. It is always better to have Michael Myers than not. No Jamie Lee Curtis is a bummer but we will see her again. Interesting last scene.

The story is dumb as hell but so fun to watch and that's about all you can ask from a slasher flick.

>"You're talking about him as if he were a human being. That part of him died years ago."

The first half of the movie had me worried. I once again was bored, but the second half made up for it. I like how they made him look really strong again and Haddonfield seems way different now. Almost like a town that has given up on itself due to what happened a decade before. Also, the mask hair is combed this time.

After a disastrous third installment the Halloween franchise rights itself with Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. Ten years after his reign of terror Michael Myers awakens from a coma and returns to Haddonfield, Illinois, to kill Laurie Strode’s daughter. Donald Pleasence returns once again and newcomer Danielle Harris gives an impressive performance that carries a lot of charisma. The storytelling’s also pretty good (as far as slasher films go) and has some interesting twists. There are a few plot holes and some bad acting, but overall Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers is a solid horror film.

After a not-so-hot third sequel, Halloween 4 gave the franchise life again. In her debut,
Danielle Harris was the surge of life this
franchise needed as Michael's Young Niece
Jamie Lloyd. I've seen some people bash
on Halloween 4 in their YouTube Video
reviews, saying they should've stopped
after Halloween II, but the fans wouldn't
let Michael Myers die without a fight!

This should have been Halloween III and the crap that some dickwad produced and marketed as Halloween III should never have been made. It's not great but decent and has Michael Myers in it unlike previously mentioned crap.

My favorite of the Halloween sequels, but mainly that is due to Donald Pleasance's presence. Very little violence on screen but enough so you know ol' Mikey still has it.

I've no idea what they were thinking when they did H3 but this brings it right back. Classic.

Hadn’t seen this for years.. remember thinking it was great as a kid. Watching it now is a totally different story.. lame story line, which doesn’t really add up or follow on from 2. Danielle Harris done well for her age in the acting of the movie that’s probably the only positive for me.

Halloween 1&2 and H20 are the best in the franchise for me, I also didn’t mind Rob Zombies version, but his 2nd one was atrocious.
