If cancer was pretentious, it'd be Halloween 2.

Rob Zombie massacres the Halloween franchise with his follow-up film Halloween II. Full of artistic douchebaggery and angry acting, there’s nothing appealing about this sequel. The plot viciously maligns the main protagonists of the series (Dr. Loomis and Laurie Strode) while introducing strange supernatural entities. Additionally, the violence is particularly gruesome and hateful. Freakishly bizarre, Halloween II betrays its characters and revels in depravity.

Rob Zombie's vision is gone too far. The film is too much and no in good way.

The first one is very good. This one is trash... It was boring and the female protagonist was annoying.. She just screamed "help meeeee! 1!1!1!" all the time...

Slightly better than the other Rob Zombie one but only because there wasn't so much time wasted on Michael's childhood.

The first Rob Zombie Halloween movie might be my favorite in the franchise, but this one might be my least favorite.

This sequel is a mess. He barely wears the mask, 80% of the movie Michael looks like a giant Hobo. The Halloween theme is not present (just in the credits). What really annoyed me was the dead mother/young Michael scene's (was this all in his and Laurie's mind?).

I give it a 5/10, it has some good kills and the acting is okay (McDowell as Loomis, sheriff was okay)

Having a plot around completing a "family mission" with a paranormal motivator does not appeal to me.

Rob Zombie is better at horror than Wes Craven and John Carpenter combined. That's it. That's the review.

I will die on this hill of bodies.

Nothing about this movie is Halloween. I watched it with my headphones off half the time because every scene was someone screaming and being horrible to another person. And the end!! Again this feels like a troll move by Zombie. All wrong instincts, followed!

In between the bad character drama and botched white horse metaphor (death rides a pale horse, not a white horse) this can at times be an alright modern slasher. Rob Zombie definitely didn't pull any punches with the gore and that right there is 75% of what you need to get right with these things. I really think with just a few minor tweaks it would have been a much better film.

There's unsubtle. There's heavy-handed. There's one-note and hysterical. And there's Rob Zombie.

I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!!

If you scream that sentence at the top of your lungs for 2 hours straight, you can simulate the experience of watching "Halloween II".

I don’t really gel well with Rob Zombie movies and this isn’t that different. I like the big, hulking Michael and the brutality of the killings but it doesn’t really amount to much. The opening 20 minute fake out already got me started a little annoyed and the lack of any real fun kills the movie. I suppose there is fun with Loomis but that feels like a separate movie we cut back and forth from and surreal Sherri Moon on a horse scenes feel completely tacked on. I can respect that he’s going for something but it is just not for me.
