Props to Busta Rhymes for performing a karate move on Michael Myers..... That's about the only positive thing I can say about this movie.

This will be the 3rd time I've tried to like this turkey, so fingers crossed for the 31 Days Of Horror.

Ha, I just watched this for the third or fourth time. I think I actually did hate it less this time.

So you kill off Jamie Lee Curtis in the first 15 minutes. Ok whatever she deserved better. You do a big brother like show in Michael's house. Fine. Busta Rhymes fights Michael with kung fu. What? Then he tazes his nuts and escapes. Ok this is bad.

After the Scream-lite reboot, comes the inevitable drop in quality. It doesn’t help that the last film was a pretty definitive end for the original characters, and the opening prologue alone is both ridiculous in its convoluted explanation and completely unnecessary. What follows is devoid of any interesting or likeable characters, no real tension and poor attempts at jump scares that rarely even work at all. Perhaps there is a kernel of a good idea in looking at social media, influencers and the monetization of horrific events and tragedies, but it’s wasted here. Awful.

Aaand Halloween is back with a very bad movie. I am curious why Laurie Strode was in this at all. This might still be better than 5 and 6, but that is not hard.

There are some intriguing and provocative ideas in Halloween: Resurrection, but it doesn’t really fit with the tone of the series. When a group of students are selected to participate in an investigation of the childhood home of Michael Myers (that’s streamed live over the internet on Halloween), Myers shows up and gives them a surprise. The plot doesn’t make a lot of sense and the characters are one-dimensional stereotypes. Yet, there’s an interesting attempt to address some topical issues such as the culture of violence and the effects of mass media. Halloween: Resurrection is a departure from the series that tries to move beyond Myers’s family vendetta, but it doesn’t really work.

The first ten minutes are the best. The characters are so annoying and regular. Sorry, but there's no reason for had a shitty script.

The best part of the movie is seeing a young Bo Katan and Starbuck, who is great in her role, and the mask isn’t awful. If you’re a fan of Michael Myers and Halloween your miles may vary.

If you’ve seen it you know the bad. Second to last in my list of Halloween films, but scores points for some creative kills to put it above the bottom rung

It can be fun to watch, but you really can't pay any attention to any detail.
People die from shoulder-wounds within seconds and the protagonist isn't able to setup her laptop by herself (whatever that means) but is using a custom-made chat-app on her phone.
Back in 2002!!!
What else is there to say? It's a Halloween-Movie, so being trash is a given. If you don't like Trash-Movies, you really shouldn't watch the Halloween-Franchise...

I actually think this falls into the "So bad it's almost good" category, and it's honestly all thanks to Busta Rhymes' ridiculous scenes. I will also admit there are some decent kills in this movie, though that isn't enough to save it. I think if you try to think of this movie as a non-canon spoof it is more entertaining.

As for a film from the beginning of the 21st century, with then growing popularity of live footage scenes, the idea to refresh the series was not bad, the execution was just a bit disappointing.
