This film never gets a boogie, or even a par, always gets a hole in one for It's comedy, cast, and It's pot. A man will do anything for his grans love, and to make her happy. It reminds of my nan that's now in heaven. I think It's Adam Sandler's best role by far, just like he hits his balls.

"Happy look out-ah" - Virginia Venit

Whenever I watch this film I quote that line for days. Fond memories of many nights growing up watching this one.

A classic and typical Adam Sandler film that is sure to please fans of his previous work, such as _Billy Madison_. The movie features Sandler's signature brand of humor and irreverence, as well as a memorable cast of characters and quotable one-liners. If you're looking for a movie that will make you laugh and entertain you with its absurdity, then _Happy Gilmore_ is definitely worth a watch. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, fans of Sandler's previous work are sure to find this movie enjoyable and entertaining.

You would think this is still loved mainly because of nostalgia, but no! It has so many memorable quotes and characters and it just hits right. Shooter McGavin is the best!

Recipe for a prime Adam Sandler comedy: dream up a ridiculous, one-note concept, plaster it with silly side gags, stretch the whole thing to fill ninety minutes and... somehow succeed in spite of yourself. There's no way this rudimentary formula should work so well, but here's Exhibit B, and I'm still laughing.

Sandler in the mid-90s was a roiling ocean of slapstick brilliance, totally superficial and meaningless but all the more endearing for it. Here, of course, he's the brainless hockey player turned golf pro, capable of driving the green on a par five but allergic to any semblance of a short game. It's a role catered to his strengths - quick temper tantrums, wacky fight scenes, childish infatuations - and he still plays them well. All the fleeting extraneous bits land, too, from Carl Weathers's absurdly long false hand to Lee Trevino's frequent, often wordless, cameos to Christopher McDonald's delicious overacting as the stuck-up front runner, Shooter McGavin.

It doesn't look great (actually, the budget must've been pretty tight) but that's hardly the point. This one remains a simple dose of energetic fun, twenty-odd years later.

I waited 20 years too many to watch this, because 15 year old me would've laughed at least once.

I turned this movie on today to have as some comic relief / background viewing, and it hit its purpose and then some. Forever will be one of my favorite sport films, and is prime era Adam Sandler. A true must see movie in many facets that I will undoubtedly continue viewing forever when I need a laugh.

Rating: 5/5 (:star:) - 10/10 - Must See
