Tale as old as time, and well told. The themes are very well handled. But this film could have been great with better-paced editing! Avoid if you can't stand characters who refuse either to say or act upon what they're thinking.

This film made me nervous. As a gay man, I felt I was watching not a coming of age story nor my own story of dealing with conflictual feelings regarding my sexuality as a teen...I just felt as though I was watching some perv's excuse to film pubescent boys wrestling with their shirts off. What could have been a beautiful, sensitively told tale of coming to grips with homosexuality ended up being David Hamilton soft core porn with children.

The initial impression was not very good. Made me uneasy to watch. Because there were some inhumane shots. They all looked so real. So I thought I would going to hate this film. But I did not. It was only in the opening, like a small black spot in something beaut More
