I didn't gel with this as much as I hoped I would. I was recommended this to go through disturbing films, but I've seen worse and that put a downer on it for me. For it's time, it may have been shocking, but not so much now.

It is disturbing to say the least. I could see Rob Zombie remaking this in his creativity. I am sorry I waited this long to see it. Definitely a under the radar classic.

Arguably the best serial killer film of all time. It's raw, unsettling, and chilling! Crazy how normal and mundane individuals can do such thing so brutal and inhuman. Michael Rooker delivered a great performance! The intro, the home invasion rape, and the ending will always haunt me forever. It felt so real and effortless. Would make a great double feature with Wes Craven's The Last House on the Left.

Didn't quite click with me. Some really chilling moments but overall it plays out like a week in the life of Ed Gein, with no real backstory, closure, beginning, ending, or structure. Maybe that was the point, but it wasn't a point made very well.

One of the most disturbing movies. The way its shot isn't like some fun cheesy slasher. It's almost like a true crime reenactment. Pretty brutal and reality based. Especially the fact that things like this have happened or still do happen out there. Leaves a lasting impression.

A great movie that is the most effective serial killer horror slash indie drama movie I've seen. Makes me feel icky as intended.

Such a nihilistic, violent film. It must have been really shocking back in the 80s. Still somewhat is. The ending really surprised me.
