Not really convincing, it recycles the theme of the road trip, but without a clear objective, more interesting the dialogues than the plot itself. Good cinematography, as usually expected from Iranian films.

[Filmin] This metaphor of the need to find new horizons far from a suffocating country feels somewhat schematic and clumsy. With nods to Western culture, this "desert odyssey" is not very subtle in the manipulation of emotions, but sometimes finds a successful path in the portrayal of alienation within the family itself (in his usual silence, the older brother is the better built character).

Like hand-stirred batter for an Iranian cake, it's good and has only a few lumps but yet is mostly bland. This is a movie that drags out its story, doles out the narrative over-judiciously which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but the poetry with which they fill the empty spaces is too few and far between. There is a lot of promise in this feature, the directing is often remarkable and the performance by child actor Rayan Sarlak may the best I've ever seen for someone of his age, but, unfortunately, I left the cinema still hungry.

Little brother Rayan Sarlak steals the show in this otherwise rather unremarkable road trip story. It depicts a family travelling in their car, squabbling, bickering and generally winding each other up. Only the quiet elder brother (Amin Simiar) tries to stay out of the constant barrage of activity More
