This exists . . . for some reason.:confused: :confounded: Child actor paying the role of Kevin doesn't even remotely resemble Macaulay Culkin in the role. French Stewart playing Daniel Stern's character, Marv, has a completely different vibe. At least in the 3rd movie and the one made after this (again, why does that one exist?) they had the sense to make the characters different.

The story of the McCallisters continues with a whole new cast in _Home Alone 4_. With his parents in the middle of a divorce, Kevin chooses to stay with his father and his new girlfriend for Christmas and runs into his old nemesis Marv while he’s casing the house. The new cast isn’t as good as the original; particularly Mike Weinberg, who has none of the charm or charisma of Macaulay Culkin, and French Stewart is a poor substitute for Daniel Stern. Following in the mold of part 3, the humor is all in the slapstick; which is all over-the-top goofball shtick. And what dramatic heartfelt moments there are come off as artificial, with no substance to them. _Home Alone 4_ is a desperate attempt to revive a series that is long past its prime and has no magic left to it.

This is supposed to be the same Kevin and Marv as the first movies and they seem to have a history (which I assume is the first two movies) but how? Kevin is 9 in this one and 10 in the earlier one… makes no sense. Didn’t help that this movie was just really really bad anyway.
