Worst part is how these people are filthy rich and look down on the "poor".

The tagline for this movie is: Holiday classics were meant to be broken.
Sounds about right.

It's actually fine. Not amazing, but not terrible either. People are just crapping on it because it's the done thing

Actually much better than I expected it to be. Didn’t have the charm as the original Home Alone, but still enjoyable!

This movie isn’t even that bad fr, people expect remakes to be the same as the original when they know it’s not going to be. It was cute and some parts were funny

Cute holiday film with lots of familiar faces and some laughs. It's home alone, it's not gonna be high brow. Does what it says on the tin.
Poor Aisling Bea really fought with that English accent though. They should have let her keep the natural Irish we all know and love.

For better or worse, the movie is exactly what you think it is. They essentially re-made Home Alone but from the perspective of the robbers. Sure, they change around some of the details but it really is the same movie. For whatever reason the robbery scene really bugged me more than it did in the original. Don't get me wrong - it was absurd in the original.... it just felt so hokey in this movie. My kids loved it and I didn't want to put a gun to my head as I was watching it so I can't complain. If you're looking to see a classic Christmas movie re-done with a better result I recommend 8 Bit Christmas.

I agreed with Kevin in the original two. Buzz was a jerk and should have been punished too in both movies. This kid Max (Archie Yates) is an unlikable jerk though despite a talented kid wasted as him.
This time, the robbers are more likable from the start. Max’s mom also agrees with her son when he says a stranger looks like Frankenstein’s monster, right to his face. So yeah she is a jerk too.
In this film the crooks are a married couple losing their house. They think Max stole a doll from them at their open house that is worth money. They just want it back. It’s hard to take his part and want to see him hurt these people.
The Buzz cameo is sort of nice though despite him being my least favorite character in the original 2 movies.
This is the worst and laziest excuse for a movie ever from Disney +. The movie tries to tack on some charm when it is way too late. It also tries to make the kid likable when it is too late.

Really crappy. The traps are overused as usual (even at home alone 2 there were mostly repeated; by now there is nothing new), the actings in general were really bad (like if they did it intentionally, just because its - maybe - more aimed to kid than adults; which doesn't make sense to me but it's a pattern i have seen before in this kind of movies). The dialogues and scenes seemed too goofy (even for "home alone" standards) and even the "plot" behind the "robbery" (which is kinda the soul of the Home Alone movies) was stupid. Only 2 things to shine: The music using the same as the original was a nice touch, and the
appearance of Buzz and the mention of Kevin's story. Although i was waiting for him to cameo at the end or something like that (there were some rumours in the last couple of months), but even not showing up, the Buzz part were kinda cool.
Appart from that, is really bad, not more than a 3 over 10

best part was the familiar music and cameo from buzz. other than that, movie was disappointing. the new kid lacks any character development and was hard to really root for honestly. we actually spend more time with the actual couple trying to infiltrate the kid’s home.

the traps weren’t the best but passable.

I guess they just couldn't get a kid with more annoying face. Because fat shaming is a crime now I guess.

It looks like the same movie all over again but not as good. Plus it is from the director of Dirty Grandpa. Yet someone gave it a 10 already ?

Horrendous movie. Don’t watch it, don’t waste your time. Why would executives think this would be even remotely good? I don’t know either! I hate it when directors create cash-grabs with no regard to any continuity or common sense
