Better than I remember. A great deal of the comedy is actually Matt Frewer, not Rick Moranis, who plays his role as straight as you can with a stereotypical absent minded professor. This is not to belittle Moranis's work (pun intended), but the majority of the fun in this movie actually comes from the "kids." Family fare to be sure. Fun fact: This movie was actually developed by the producer and director of "Reanimator": Brian Yuzna and Stuart Gordon.

Well, it didn't age well. At least not the special effects. But, they were more practical than digital and that makes a difference. You get the feeling that the people are actually there when the effects are practical and not digital, and you don't have that sensation that you are watching other peo More
