Affecting, Cathartic, Moving Hope is not just about a tormenting chapter or an episode of despair in a young girl's life but is a testament of true power of love and care. With a beautiful score, incredible performances and a moving screenplay Hope is easily an unforgettable experience. Lee Re is exceptional and adorable. As a child artist she leaves you speechless. Sol Kyung gu and Uhm Ji-won as parents of Lee are spectacular. The wide range of emotions they display is extremely harrowing and powerful. The supporting cast is equally marvelous. Overall, Hope is a rewarding experience which may be a bit traumatic but the heart it carries is beautiful and the honesty goes beyond filmmaking. This movie is a mixture of many social topics that concern us, being organized coherently into a deeply touching narrative. It reveals many imperfections of the world we lived in, but the main theme is still about hope and love. While the plot is relatively simple, the acting feels truly impressive More
