This is so stupid, but I’ve had Madelaine fancasted as Ariel for so long, to the point she feel canon. So her and Aladdin himself?! I loved it.

That aside, the movie is quite cliche. Like any other cheesy Christmas movie with the only difference really being all the side characters having more relevance in here than usual. It’s cute with low rewatch value.

A Freevee original, _Hotel for the Holidays_ is a formulaic, low-budget comedy. The story follows a hotel manager who’s looking for an investor to help her start a new hotel, and attempts to persuade a former prince staying at her hotel to back her; meanwhile a waning popstar goes undercover as a Christmas party volunteer at the hotel in order to get in touch with her fan base. The acting is rather poor and the plot is incredibly cliché; hitting all the usual tropes. And the hotel bears no resemblance to what a real metropolitan hotel is like, and isn’t helped any by the cheap costumes and sets. Still, there are a couple of likable characters and some cute moments. _Hotel for the Holidays_ is a rote Christmas comedy with the typical messages about love and friendship, but isn’t made very well.
