Welcome to Hotel Transylvania, Dracula's lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up and no humans are allowed. I'm not sure what it was but this was really lacking something for me. It took too long to get going and then just didn't have enough go. I personally wouldn't compare it to Despicable Me as have been in the comments (though that may be unfair as I absolutely love it) as there is just no comparable action, many of the the jokes just didn't land for me and the visual gags wore thin, some just from repetition. No Zing here I'm afraid. 5/10

A friend of mine had watched it before and said that it was not that great. Then I watched it (in French) and found it hilarious. I don't know if the film is funnier in French or if it is just that cute, but I really liked it.

Not overly keen on this film (the sequel was marginally better.) I felt it was lacking something and I'm not quite sure what. It's definitely not memorable.

The idea is clearly an evolution of what Shrek meant.

Other than that, the script and dialogues are not so brilliant. It was boring for a big deal of the time and there were too many things going on and too fast.
