You could describe this style of filmmaking as ‘predatory,’ but it would be downplaying the meticulous, pathological, and unapologetically ferocious third act that erupts into an endurance test in abject brutality.

Less respectable reviewers will of course cry foul play, and suggest that there are legitimate reasons for deducting points in their ratings – but the reality is that they will simply be deeply ashamed of just how easy it was for this film to ensnare them before having the rug pulled out from their humbled little minds.

If you think you’ve got this one figured out, you should immediately start coming to terms with just how badly you’ve been had. Tread carefully.

Yeah, the films plot was mixed and slow and half of the time I didn't know where it was going with a lack of information and still don't even know with the ending to be honest but it was a good watch and hooked me but that ending was shocking, insane and messed up and wasn't ready for it and definitely scarred right now from it, it's one of them endings I'm gonna remember.

I liked the movie, I never knew where it was going to go. The one thing I think they should have shown is what he did to the daughter. We know he killed her but just how gruesome was it. That ending was crazy. I also would have liked another 5-10 minutes to see an ending with the police looking at the daughter, talking to her (the mother), an extended ending but I guess it was ok. I'm glad they didn't do the death by cop ending.

It's late, my mind is all over the place sorry for the jumbled thoughts.

Episode 10x09
I have immersed myself fully in the forest that this movie presents and I loved it. It is suspenseful, terror has between little and nothing.
It may seem slow, but the story is told little by little and, for me, it caught me.

>"Without it's pack a lone wolf won't go for it's usual prey. It will go for the old, young, sick and dead."

I came in expecting The Grey, and got much more than that. A little slow at first, but I like that, especially with how things end up happening later on. If I say anything else I might spoil it, but that ending was insane.

Sorry but I’m just not buying it. The ending made little sense. It was a welcome reprieve after the slow buildup but come on, what the heck?

first part with wolf was perfect - that atmosphere and music was very good, when he found that party in woods it gets interesting but..with this moment it was empty, no atmosphere nothing only just walking from some point to another..that ending was strong but it was skipped...it could be more interesting with much more impact at ending but it was cut, skipped to ending titles.. :(

What a mess. The pacing is too slow. The characters are unbelievably dumb. Lacking in tension and suspense. The violence part is just bland. Save your time.

[Sitges FF] The loss of a missed occasion that traps in a disturbing first part, which seems to be heading towards a more fantasy-genre terrain. But as in the protagonist, the director gets lost in the middle of a forest whose trees do not leave him see the horizon. And he ends up taking an easy shortcut to impact. The remarkable performance by Camille Sullivan is weighed down by the script's lack of orientation.

3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Hunter Hunter’:

1. There was a fair amount of predictability as you journey through most of this film… until the end. The end took a sharp turn straight down into the pits of hell. And I never saw any of that coming.

2. I’m trying to grasp the meaning behind the wolf, if there is one. Clearly the wolf was never the problem. The problem was Joseph. A horrible husband _(and hunter, apparently)_ who never communicated threats to his family so he wouldn’t lose his home and their unnecessarily-off-grid way of life.

3. The FX at the end were equally impressive and disturbing.
