not going to miss horrible new movies. filmed in darkness, no color can't see nothing. not going to finish. they need professional film makers

There was just no feel, no soul to this movie, It was just a bunch of scenes that transitioned. No reason to care about anyone or anything going on. A very soul-less movie.

Decent actors, acting poorly, terrible dialogue, terrible sound track and audio effects, terrible stunts and visual effects. Must be embarrassing for David Rodriguez to screw up so badly. He should definitely look for a different line of work. I’m sure the actors and the crew hate him for adding such crap to their resumes. Some scenes are so bad they seem like spoofs. The inception folding city scapes are particularly hilarious. It starts off bad and gets worse and worse… I was very tempted to turn it off at minute 110 and I should have. The end is mind bogglingly pathetic. They actually have a final “twist” that would make you think there could be a sequel lol. How is this movie even possible… didn’t anyone read the script before agreeing to participate?

This movie is what happens when mommy and daddy aren't home and the young kids are left all alone at home, with a big box of crayons and a welcoming white wall.

A whole big mess !!

it's simply bad, the concept of hypnosis or whatever is done poorly.
some lines were delivered so terribly that it made me laugh out loud.

The Guardian calls it a “preposterous tosh from start to finish” and I couldn’t agree more. Unwatchable.

Total Recall + Paycheck + Firestarter + Inception thrown in a blender. Not good.

Way better than I was expecting. Go in blind if you can.
Didn't quite understand all the twists and turns, but I'm looking forward to a second viewing.

Any review you read saying it isn’t that bad is from people who don’t watch enough movies. Every minute is ripped, terribly, from better films. Bobby Rod saw a few too many Nolan movies and thinks he can compete by plagiarizing his work.

I was appreciating the throwback, 80s action/thriller feel for a good chunk of the movie and it almost seemed like they were going to elevate it but too much of the movie is bogged down by clunky exposition and silly dialogue

Saw this tonight as part of the Regal Cinemas $5 Monday Mystery Movie. It was an entertaining movie with plot twists that will twist your beliefs about reality. I will not share any spoilers as requested by Me. Rodriguez when he introduced the movie. You will have to discover its surprises for yourself which I highly encourage you to do.

Honestly, wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting going in based on the score/reviews I had glanced at at the time. But maybe those lowered expectations played into my enjoyment.

Some nice cinematography, and a solid lead performance from Affleck with some less-than-great dialogue at times. Solid interesting act one, and if you can get your brain to accept the first big paranormal introduction then you should be ok to enjoy the rest. Lots of twists and turns, but honestly delivered a bit too fast and before I had a chance to actually care about what was happening.

Granted, I quite often come out of movies like this a bit more positive when they keep their runtime down which this did. If this movie tried the whole "we need to be 3 hours" thing, I think I would lean a lot more negatively.

The analogy of it being a "low-budget [spoiler]Inception[/spoiler]" is fairly accurate, but still I've seen worse movies this year as well.
