Finally Aldo, Giovanni & Giacomo have returned with a movie worthy of their earlier successes.

The movie managed to capture that melancholy that summer vacations can be. And yet, you are laughing almost the entire runtime. That's what made their first movies successful and it still works here. The characters (the protagonists and the supporting ones) are believable. Everyone has seen (or is) them in real life.

The story is pretty simple (not something seen again and again, though) and that's a positive. The supporting characters are really interesting and funny; they manage to support the trio without overshadowing them.

The casting was very good. Obviously Aldo, Giovanni & Giacomo are still the same (if a bit older). The rest of the cast was good, with two exception. Maria Di Biase (Aldo's wife), whom I really did not like, and Michele Placido (the marshal), whom I really liked (he almost stole the spotlight).

Overall a great movie, that runs well. A bit nostalgic of the 90s trio's movies but that's more than fine by me.
