A really nice romance between 2 people who both have secrets. Loved the simplicity of this film and how low key it was. I consider it now one of my favorites

The holiday classic _I’ll Be Seeing You_ is a charming, though somewhat peculiar, WWII romantic drama. While on a furlough from prison to visit her aunt for Christmas, Mary meets a soldier on leave and the two begin seeing each other, but as she struggle to hide her past from him, he tries to cover his struggles with PTSD from her. Starring Ginger Rogers, Joseph Cotton, and Shirley Temple, the film has a pretty good cast; though Cotton’s depiction of PTSD can be a little heavy-handed, with numerous inner monologues. However, Rogers gives an outstanding performance, and Temple is quite impressive in one of her teen roles. Still, the plot is rather predictable, following the standard Hollywood romance storyline despite its little flourishes. Yet _I’ll Be Seeing You_ is an enjoyable film nonetheless, and has kind of sweet message about healing and forgiveness.
