It's a good comedy, nothing extraordinary. It explores an interesting argument, how, often, it's difficult to make friends as an adult, especially as a man.

Apart from that, it's a typical comedy. No joke felt really good, but the overall experience was very pleasing. 1 h and 40 minutes it's the right lenght of time for movies like this. The story, while intriguing, was already a bit stretched as it was.

The two lead actors (Segel and Rudd), as well as Rashida Jones, play their characters very believably and in a relatable way.
Really, I appreciated the whole cast, and I was very pleased with how many actors I recognized, both already famous at the time and not. Loved the OK Go cameo.

In the end, an enjoyable movie, suggested for about anyone.

7/10

When a meek, clean-cut realtor (Paul Rudd, in one of his tamer roles) sets out to select a best man for his upcoming nuptials, it suddenly dawns that his list of male friends is uncomfortably short. His subsequent errand into the best friend dating scene reveals no small number of reinforced stereotypes and awkward, queasy miscommunications.

Rudd's an identifiable guy here, particularly for the crowd that doesn't buy into Budweiser brand of masculinity, but he's so thoroughly, maddeningly passive that the puns occasionally feel staged. It's funny, with a few genuine laugh-out-loud moments, but also safe like a sitcom given the green light to tinker with a dirty theme or two and actually wrap up its primary storyline. And, considering the wealth of excellent comedians in the supporting cast, that kind of white-washing leads to a mildly wasted opportunity.

Movies don't afternoon cover the difficulty finding friends, especially as adults. This movie is fantastic. Funny and the happy ending everyone wants when looking for that friend that gets them.

Perfectly watchable bromance take on a rom com. Easy viewing but nothing special. I enjoyed once but can't see myself watching again.

I really, really, really didn't like this movie. Have we had enough of the Judd Apatow movies yet? Is this what American comedy has come to? Don't get me wrong - compared to "Knocked Up" it was genius, but that is't saying much (and please save your "but the stoner friends reminded me of my stoner friends so it was hilarious" argument). My biggest beef with the movie is that it was like it was a comedy written for two female leads and at the last minute they dropped in two men. I get that they were trying for this - I just thought it was a stupid idea. Who wants to see men talking and acting like women?

The worst part about it is that they used Rush as a backdrop to their estrogen-filled dialogue. Ugh - the band deserved better.

Very funny - not over the top funny, but understated humor.

Check YouTube for backstage scene with Rush - hilarious!
