==**Why took me so long to watch this? A MASTERPIECE!**==
I'm no longer here tells a story of people forgotten by everyone, people who belongs to a place and had to change and forget everything they used to be to fit into something they are not, showing also in a very realistic way the difference between Mexico and the USA and the sense of nostalgic that even we, as spectors, can feel. Beautifully shooted, directed and with great acting, I can easily see this being nominated for best picture at the Oscars.
The last scene was probably the most emotional scene I've seen in many years.
I have loved this story and this movie with the odyssey of this teenage cumbia dancer Ulises from Monterrey. I really enjoyed it.

A beautiful culture diminished by a violent world. Beautiful film that captures reality in a heartbreakingly simple way.

[Netflix] This Odyssey that takes Ulises out of his home, but connected through memories and music, is the need to maintain his identity. Being strange in the place of arrival but at the same time also in the place of origin. A city that rejects, that maintains in the suburbs what does not fit. The "cumbia rebajada" tries to delay time, so that the moment of disconnection with the hostile society lasts twice as long. Wonderful post-credits.
