This movie is a comedic masterpiece of nonsensical action, and the numerous plot holes and questionable choices disrupt the overall experience.

Expected it to be a WWII flick where some dude goes all John Wick on the Nazis, but it ends up looking like a parody of Rambo.

I really wanted to like "Sisu" significantly more than I ended up doing. For film festivals, this flick from Finland is certainly just right, as those who want to see Nazis get splattered will definitely get their money's worth. But in between the violent excesses, the film is unfortunately pretty dull. I have no problem at all with it taking itself one hundred percent seriously. But then the characters need to be a little more interesting. The silent protagonist excels at taking multiple brutal beatings while wearing plot armor. The Nazis, on the other hand, are generic. If you mimic the style of "Inglourious Basterds" in places, you should at least have a halfway interesting villain à la Hans Landa. However, there is none here, which is why, aside from the splatter, "Sisu" is a little boring overall.

Tarantino meets John Wick mashup flick w European stoicism. It features some sublime kills and also some way over the top scenes. Quite enjoyable overall, but has its limitations. Friendly 7.8

A simple movie with simple characters. No message or some grand idea, just entertainment. [spoiler] You don't even notice that the main character does not speak the whole movie [/spoiler]. Maybe a bit unrealistic in a few scenes, but still great.

The scenery is amazing, the cinematography is superb. The movie uses dialogue only when absolutely necessary and speaks otherwise through it's pictures.

It's dark, it's gritty, it's brutal - a mix of John Wick and John Rambo in a Tarantino style. Sure, it's unrealistic but that's beside the point. If you have issues with that, or with plot holes or look for a deep story you'd better stay away from this one.

This movie is Visceral, Wild, Action Packed, and Incredibly funny. Me and the homies were probably annoying the rest of the theater with how hard we were laughing at the crazy shit this dude does.

Wow, the new Tintin reboot is pretty intense

I was able to catch this movie on a mystery movie night at regal Cinema, it absolutely blew my mind.
Maybe I was so psyched by giving this movie 9 Stars or maybe not, it was an absolute "JOY RIDE" from beginning to end, I haven't seen a movie like this in a long time.
The reviewer after me hit the nail right on the head, very reminiscent of an '80s action movie.
I'm surprised the millennial pansies running things today actually let this one get made.
If you remember how you felt after seeing "THE ROAD WARRIOR" on the big screen you really want to see this.

From the trailer alone, you have John Wick, and then you have this guy who probably makes the gold coins for the Continental.

Sisu feels like John Wick trying hard to be a Tarantino film. It ends up better than Wick but falls very short of Tarantino. If the impossible survivalism took two steps closer to realism, this movie would've landed higher for me.

Makes John Wick look like he has manners, cuz Sisu doesn't.

Much more brutal, gory, and funny but action scenes are short and somewhat lack the punch that JW movies have. It's a good movie for sure but...lacks substance and effect.
