At least it was consistent. For a lot of low budget "bad" movies out there. The movies waffles between different ideas. This movie at least had a consistent and focused narrative. Everything _basically_ worked. It wasn't all good. I think a lot of the camera shots could have been enhanced with more CGI scenes of LEXX rather than what I assume was the cheaper option of de-rezing. The characters were mostly reasonable in their behaviour true to the traits we've seen them develop.

Unfortunately the movie doesn't really do anything well. The lighting is subpar. The direction while again cohesive was extremely bland. The acting was serviceable but with nothing to work on or really against it just felt weightless. The writing had nuggets of ideas. Some of them were even good ideas like the way LEXX prefer to speak in affirmations that our devices uses now. When he's not homicidal and ordering death of humans LEXX will sound like your smart device giving you your updates for the day.

The ending was not beyond prediction but it was done well and one of the more interesting parts of the movie. It only leaves me asking why the main character waited that long to enact it. Not that I particularly wished that fate on her but it would have been nice to know what kept her going all this time and thus what finally caused her to give in. The movie gets some points for the few things it does right. The nods to contemporary tech, it's cohesiveness but lacking that it's not outright bad per se it's just nothing anyone would think to call good.
