As a new day begins in the town of Silverton, its residents have little reason to believe it will be anything other than ordinary. Mother Nature, however has other plans. In the span of just a few hours, an unprecedented onslaught of powerful tornadoes ravages Silverton. Storm trackers predict that the worst is still to come, as terrified residents seek shelter, and professional storm-chasers run toward the danger, hoping to study the phenomenon close up and get a once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Corny acting and cliches, but fun watch. Has some pretty good action shots with nice visual effects and surround sound. Not a keeper but worth the watch.

Agree with hostile - very corny acting, but movie is saved from full pan by tornado action scenes. First 40% of movie is stupid until first tornado touches down. Sarah Wayne Callies is not bad to look at either.

Yeah... it's pretty bland and forgettable. With as much great action and special effects as are in this, it's surprisingly boring. This ain't no twister.

"Into the Storm" is an impressive special effects show with tornadoes that are actually frightening. My home and neighborhood was struck by a F2 strength twister about 10 years ago and while that is a small to mid-sized tornado, I can attest that it is scary. Another version of the movie 'Twister'. Not because both the movies are about tornadoes, but takes place in a similar fashion where a group of twister/storm analyzers/chasers goes after their thing only to come out in a messed-up state.
