[Sheffield '23] Strikes the balance between a personal journey of the protagonist and a much broader reflection on what are considered disabilities in a world where normality is used to place labels. Through conversations with other people who have the same physical condition as Ella Glendining, some of the uncertainties are raised, not only with respect to themselves but about their children, and the way in which some representations of disabilities in film and tv they have ended up stereotyping the differences. There is a personal point of view, but also it invites a more general reflection.
