A feminist's vampire movie. Shot by a man. Why ? Although I'm not a fan of vampire movies (sue me), this is quite good fare, with good cringe-then-laugh moments of blatant misoginy, male cluelessness, and touching Nosferatu tribute. And yes, Anne, we root for you.

Jakob's Wife was everything I was hoping it would be and more. Barbara Crampton shines and shows the world what she is capable of when you let her, reminding viewers of just how much she has to offer.

Better than expected, with a good story, eerie music score, and a fine balance of humour and horror. Recommended for fans of the genre.

I'm not a huge fan of this genre and this film didn't really change things for me. Overall, it felt like a series of individual scenes rather than a coherent story; I ended up skipping the last 20 minutes, but probably should have cut it off sooner.
