I saw this as a kid and felt like going nostalgic and watch it again. Big mistake. This is just so bad it's unbelievable.

So... Jaws 3. Not particularly good, this one. I mean...it might have been a bit better if the 3D effects didn't ruin just about any interesting shot, but even that wouldn't have helped much. There's so much to pick on when it comes to Jaws 3 that it's not even funny, but I won't bother you with that. I'll just give you this... It had potential with the great water park setting, but they screwed up royally on the execution, story, and just about everything else.

To be honest, I didn't remember it as this bad, but then again... I haven't really watched this in over 30 years. May have seen it with other eyes back then.

>*"White sharks are dangerous. I know 'em. My father, my brother, myself. They're murders."*

Not in 3D!

If *Jaws* was a great white, ***Jaws 3-D*** is a minnow. This one's kinda boring and because the effects for the shark (and everything else, can't forget that submarine) are fakey, it plays on the scares and the suspence. It's mostly just ridiculous instead of scary. I do like the Sea World Park setting and the inclusion of marine biologists. The dolphins steal the show when they're on-screen. Ok main characters. Technically not the worst third act ever but the effects are so terrible it blows away any credibility. It would work as B-movie material if there was more comedy thrown in but... not really.

In my experience, as soon as the word 3D appears in the title of a sequel, it's almost never a good sign. The third "Jaws" movie is no exception. It has truly laughable effects, and because it had to have 3D in the title, they are frequently the focus. The script is also rather thin. Suspense never wants to arise, and the humor doesn't work either. It at least has a few solid actors in the cast, such as Dennis Quaid or Louis Gossett Jr., but none of them deliver a good performance. With a running time of under 100 minutes, however, the film is at least semi-quickly over. If the shark and 3D effects hadn't been quite so lousy, Jaws 3D might have been a rudimentarily entertaining B-movie. As it is, however, there is really nothing left of Steven Spielberg's masterpiece.

Jaws 3 for me is the worst of the four sequels. The 4th is still awful but if I had to pick between watching 3 or 4, I would probably pick 4. This was such a boring movie. I felt like absolutely nothing happened. Zero suspense and a dull plot. A lot of the scenes were made to be seen in 3D and unfortunately not many will be able to, so in 2D it looks so out of place. Did not care for the characters and they were badly written. I was just really bored watching this and really struggled to get to the end.

2/10

Yeah... not good. I don't dislike 'Jaws 3-D' as much as most evidently do, though.

Dennis Quaid and Bess Armstrong are actually pleasant in terms of the cast, none of those behind them are anything worth noting but are somewhat serviceable. I will say I didn't enjoy the plot, but only because it lacked something worth watching - it's poor, not terrible. More of the shark was wanted, but I would personally say that about the preceding two films as well.

Parts of this 1983 flick that are terrible, though, are the special effects, especially right at the end. There is also some poorly done green screen and it, clearly, has a dire cover. There's no doubting this being made was a cash grab, that's basically the only reason to ever go 3-D, but a cash grab doesn't necessarily mean it's an awful film; which this isn't, in my opinion. It's simply bad. The cover is hilariously awful though, granted.

I guess SeaWorld likes being portrayed in horror movies. This and Blackfish. It's insanely fucking stupid and it's an insult to the original JAWS, but that's what I love about it. It has fun with itself.

Paul: So writers, what should we do for the 3rd film in the series now?
Jim and Bob: I know! Let's put the shark in SeaWorld and have it attack tourists.
Paul: Get the hell out of this room.
Jim and Bob: *leaves*
Paul: We are so using that idea.

I actually really like this movie. It's actually very enjoyable. It's a fucking shark loose in a theme park. What more could you ask for? But this movie does get actual points for the music and the shark animatronic. Both are done extraordinarily well and there are some genuinely creepy moments with the shark.

Extraordinarily bad, terror comes to the third dimension in Jaws 3-D. After lying in wait a great white shark terrorizes Sea World. The plot is terrible and the acting isn’t much better; with the exception of Lea Thompson, who’s incredibly charismatic and steals every scene she’s in. Shot for 3D, the special effects are atrocious; full of gimmicky shots of thing’s flying out at the audience and superimposed images that stick out like a sore thumb. And the shark isn’t really that frightening; becoming more of a joke (especially when it gets owned by a pair of dauphins). A cheap exploitation film, Jaws 3-D is an absolute trainwreck.

Clearly a step down from the previous entries, but light and breezy. If you can, see it in 3D....good effects make up for a pedestrian script.

The effects look really bad by today’s standards. The movie has barely any shark until the third act and what we see is really cheesy. It is really boring up until then too. Sea World looks fun though.
