This was not the movie that I was expecting. I thought it was going to be more of a comedy about the differences between the Church and the Hippie community. Kelsey Grammar almost immediately bought into their way of life and nothing much more was said about how they had very different views. The love interest between Joel Courtney and the gorgeous Anna Grace Barlow was nice but predictable. The end wrapped up with some real live footage of the greedy tele-evangelists of the day that realized that big money could be made from these huge crowds.

I hate being preached to. With that in mind I watched Jesus Revolution. I have mixed feelings. However I didn't step away feeling unsatisfied. Feel good historical account (not even sure how accurate). It's not going on any "like" lists, that's for sure. Propaganda, I think so. However I didn't give it any respect beyond just enjoying a movie, and its cast. 6/10

I'm not religious but for the 2hours of this movie, I felt I was. I thoroughly enjoyed everyone's performance, well-written and overall I'm not one for religious-based films but I was pleasantly surprised by this with an interesting story.

A rarity in the world of faith-based movies - Jesus Revolution is well-made and interestingly written, without ladling on sappy sentimentality. Christians will get more from this than non-believers, although there is a chance this will do much to help non-Christians on their spiritual journey.
