DISCLAIMER: I did not see this movie in its original language(English), but in a dubbed version(Italian). I may have missed some nuances.

_John Wick_ is a great action movie. No bullshit, straight to the point.

There is no unnecessary exposition, just the bare minimum. No long dialogue telling us the story of this guy at the start of the movie. It's a great, simple setup.

The action scene are crazy good. The experience that the director and Keanu Reeves have in staged fights really shows. The choreography is always well done, no useless movements, everything has a purpose. Brilliant combination of guns and martial arts.I also really enjoyed the almost complete lack of shaky cam (and when there was, I felt it had a purpose).

The photography is pretty. Most of the movie is at night, with a certain techno/underground vibe.

The music didn't really grab me a lot. That may be a matter of personal preferences, but it sometimes didn't fit and distracted me from the movie.

In the end, I would recommend _John Wick_ to everybody, even those that don't particularly like action movies. It has a tight runtime, a great and believable world building and some of the best choreographed fight scenes; all without useless stuff like a pointless romance. What's not to love?
