Although it was a little slow to begin with, I was not disappointed at all by this film. As soon as I heard there was a new one, I kept an open mind and told myself that: "If it makes me laugh as much as the first and second, then I will be happy", and thankfully, it certainly did! If I was going to pick between the three, I'd still slightly prefer the second one, but I don't really think we should be comparing them. Why not enjoy them all? I certainly have.

As with all of Rowan Atkinson's comic creations, Johnny English is a hilarious character who can simply be funny in an empty room. So many people discuss his physical ability, which is of course outstanding, but even his ability to phrase words for comical effect can brighten anybody's day. There are so many subtle gags in this film, it's unbelievable.

I loved the return of Bough as his sidekick. He plays an excellent part in both the first one and this new one. His character is equally as brilliant as Johnny English himself.

A wonderful film, filled with brilliant comedy, and there were moments when I didn't think I'd be able to stop laughing. It was fantastic!

Well it wasn’t anything great, had the same old gags, story and some characters were a little cheesy, few new ideas but didn’t fail to make me laugh at moments specially the dancing scene and I think it had most of the best parts in It’s trailer.

I think they should of ended it with the first film of the franchise because they’ve not done any better, they always try too hard with later franchie sqeuals, always rush them, not all thought, some can turn out good but for some in the end it becomes too cheesy for me.

It’s a shame that he pronounced a few days back that he wasn’t gonna do anymore mr bean, understandable from the point of his last film (holiday) because it was terrible and has nothing on the first, just another cheesy rushed film without enough work put into it but I still think he’s got it still for a mr bean mini series or christmas special seeing as you could notice all the way through this film mr bean coming out in his character and don’t get me wrong, he did great, the film just didn’t live up to his talent in my opinion.

First of all , I love the Johnny English movies. The thing I liked about them was that both the previous movies had jokes in pretty much every scene. Basically a scene could seem completely normal and have some little detail in the background or a joke that you'd get if you watched these films twice or more. Not that I'm trying to say that the Johnny English films are some super sophisticated comedy that you need to use your 300 iq to understand but it is clear that they were intended to be watched more than once if you want to get every little detail. A good example of this is the opening scene in the first movie where johnny gets lost in the MI7 while the viewer probably focuses more on the music or the titles. All this attention to detail, combined with a good standard plot and jokes that actually worked made these series the perfect comedy ,at least for me.Which is why I always couldn't get why critics and audience alike didn't think very highly of them and considered them as just bellow mediocre comedies. So after spending all this time talking about the other films , the only thing I can say about this one is that it just felt empty. What you saw was exactly what you got and for the first time rewatching it isn't even worth it (even though I'm not 100% sure about that but its highly unlikely). Most of the jokes were flat or reused from the first movie and the "villain" felt like just a high tech version of Pascal Sauvage. It's really a shame when the thing that made me laugh the most was that VR scene, that I had already seen from the trailer. They also felt the need for some reason to use that roblox "oof" sound effect when they were at that restaurant and Johnny was trying to take the shell of that lobster (there was also darude sandstorm but whatever ). Even though this might not be the best review of this movie because it's closer to a rant , my last thoughts on it are that it was just rushed , empty and mostly uninteresting. Its really not a bad movie on its own but it just fails to compete with the other two.

_Johnny English_ is a franchise that continues to get worse with every movie they release, which obviously makes _Strikes Again_ (as the newest) the worst to date, but I will say, there is one sequence with a certain cannister of pills that I did genuinely enjoy. But digging five minutes out of an hour and a half is not really a rate good experience.

_Final rating:★½: - Boring/disappointing. Avoid where possible._

An improvement on 'Johnny English Reborn', if still a large distance off the entertaining original.

'Johnny English Strikes Again' does feel more like the first film though, unlike the 2011 sequel. That's in positive and negative ways. The vibe of the film being one of the pluses, but one of the cons being a couple of scenes felt repeated from the original.

Rowan Atkinson (Johnny) remains the standout piece of the series, while it's good to see the previously missing Ben Miller (Bough) return. Olga Kurylenko (Ophelia) is alright, while Emma Thompson (PM) is pleasant to see.

One issue I do have with this installment is the villain, who is extremely mundane and not at all threatening, menacing or funny. The main reason why the original is so much fun, at least to me, is that you had John Malkovich absolutely perfecting the villainous role and remaining on the same level as Atkinson. In the sequels, it's basically Atkinson and that's it. Bring back Pascal Sauvage, I say.

The humour in this third release is suitably fine, despite nothing truly hilarious. There are a few good scenes, the most memorable to me being the VR one. The ending is just about passable, almost bad but not quite. Overall, I found just enough that I enjoyed about this.
