They took a bad idea and ruined it.

Be warned, what follows is more of a rant than a review and there are spoilers in it.

Just Retired 2 is like a drunk who throws up on you and your partner at a party: obnoxious, insulting and sickening. And the antithesis of funny.

In their visit to Portugal, the entitled French tourists crash a car they borrow and then don't return it, cut to the front of the line in the police station without excusing themselves, steal another woman's number to cut to the front again, do a hit and run on another car in the parking lot and then say, "I'm spending the worst vacation of my life in a country where the locals don't stop pissing me off." If only this had been satire. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I'm 100% sure that the cast and crew decided to make this shameless money grab in Portugal just to get a paid vacation... but after they have the nerve to insult the Portuguese as stupid, hysterical liars?

Meanwhile, the grandparents, who the film centers on, lose various grandchildren, not once, not even twice but three fucking times, and that's not even the joke (!?). If it were, and we were supposed to feel disdain for them, at least we could believe the film is trying to be funny. Instead, we're meant to root for these self-centered, privileged Karens?

That the writer and director think this film has any redeemable qualities says less about their dubious talent and more about how stupid, facile and racist they think you are.

Nah, fuck this movie.
