Paris 2052. Julia, 80 years old, had a fulfilled life. On her birthday, she reflects on the decisions and circumstances that could have led her on different paths. This French dramatic remake of the 1998 Gwyneth Paltrow comedy Sliding Doors teaches us that everybody's life has ups and downs, if that's something you didn't know. It's basically an exercise of style that sets out to prove how everything is only random -- sadly, I expect more than randomness from the films I watch. That said Lou de Large excels in the lead, nailing each of the variety of roles she had to play.
