Can't get enough of this film. Fantastic performances by both Streep and Adams.

I had no expectations about this, and was positively surprised. A feelgood self-discovery movie about cooking in the 1950's and blogging in the 2000's. Characters in different times use different ways to fill their lives with something they believe is meaningful. Had to get used to the Julia Child character, but gradually started to like her. Had the exactly the opposite with the Julie Powell character, she got less like-able every scene (I suspect this was intended). Really enjoyed this film and, more importantly, I developed a newfound love for butter!

I missed the actual point of this movie? a girl with no hobbies writes about her cooking...and what was the end result? she got a movie deal about writing about cooking... not that exciting. good acting and a nice movie to have on in the background but no real depth to it.

An easy watch about cooking that made me a little hungry.

Nice movie to watch with the whole family. I didn't know anything about it before watching it and it was a quite interesting story. Had to google a few things afterwards.

This has been on my to-watch list for longer than I'd care to admit. I kept putting it off because I was worried it wouldn't live up to the hype. I think the wait almost made it worse. It was good and I enjoyed it, it just wasn't the momentous, amazing movie I was expecting. And in the end, I wqs really hoping that they would actually meet.

Wonderful film that may have brought a tear to my eye at the end. Streep was as fantastic as always and Adams as charming. Perfect casting choices and a heart warming tale of two women both alike and dissimilar in many ways. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I actually fell asleep during the last part of the movie (I have to rewatch it) but in general I felt is was a nice movie and Meryl Streep plays a great role as always. Also Amy Adams and Stanley Tucci are really great – as is Jane Lynch's short but great appearance.
The story is quite interesting and Meryl's accent and way of talking is amazing.

A beautiful and warming movie that speaks deeply to my love of food, how it can comfort and protect.

Movies of cooking in the background are my weakness.
